THE BOARD MEMBERS

Our operations and efforts are overseen by a dedicated, non-paid Board of Directors. This board is supported by diligent student volunteers who manage various administrative duties. Our funding comes from the generous contributions of our alumni, fans, supporters, residents, and businesses that have ties to the Shenandoah Valley.

Cliff Wood

President

Wood has been actively involved at his alma mater. He has served on the JMU Foundation Board of Trustees since 2012 in a role helping to drive private support to the university. He also served on the advisory board for the JMU Duke Club from 2004 to 2017.

SAMUEL SILEK

Treasurer

Sam has recently retired from a Senior Director position at Medtronic Diabetes and is now President of his consulting own company. Sam currently resides in Salem, VA with his wife Dawn of almost 33 years. He has two sons, Samuel and Andrew.

STEVE BROWN

Secretary

Steve is an ’84 graduate and his wife Alice is an ’83 graduate of JMU. Both Steve and Alice have been JMU Athletics supporters for many years. Steve is one of the co-hosts of the Sound Off podcast and uses that platform to help support JMU Athletics and the Collective.
